Couch Parade Series
Inspired by the "Cow Parade" that originated in Chicago, I created the "Couch Parade" as a commentary for folks who have been misled to believe that art is made to match their couch. Because I find that somewhat maddening, I did paintings of couches on canvas appropriated with famous paintings intended to be hung over a couch. This is meant to examine how art is more than a mere decorative commodity and inspires a deeper awareness of its value. In support of my observation, consider how many times a painting has been left discarded at a curbside in comparison to the amount of couches tossed aside.

Joshua Tree Series
Awestruck by nature’s sculptures of strength displayed in these massive rocks that have merged into stabilized forms over time inspired me to immortalize them in my paintings. Their relationships carved by nature exhibit bonds of solid support by embracing harmony and honoring earth’s ancestry.

LACMA
Los Angeles County Museum of Art Exhibit (Rental & Sales Gallery): Analogous to hunters who strip the skin off their prey to stretch them into wall hangings, I made trees the victims of a similar abuse. Painted onto unstretched canvas as the skin, these trees were then roped around a frame to mimic the captivity of mother nature.
